April - It's time to get ready!
By Kim Hayes with some AI Edits
April is when the farm wakes up
The snow melts. The mud shows up-in full force. Barns need cleaning. And little by little, everything starts to hum again. It is not quite the pizza season yet, but you can feel it coming.
This is the month where real work happens. Behind the scenes. Getting everything ready for the year ahead.
Because Alpha & Omega has never just been about pizza. It is about community. The farmers, makers, and small businesses who help create magic here. It truly takes a village.
Building the Season, Together
This year, we are doubling down on local sourcing, especially when it comes to meat.
We are excited to partner with Milaca Meats, right down the road in Milaca. They are known for high quality, locally sourced meats and strong relationships with area farmers. Their approach mirrors ours. Thoughtful. Local. Done right. They will be supplying much of our meat this season, alongside what we raise ourselves.
The People Behind the Ingredients
One of the best parts of spring is reconnecting with the people behind the food.
These are not just suppliers. They are friends, neighbors, and partners in what we are building here.
This year, you will see returning:
- Mighty Tiny Microgreens, finishing all of our rotating Fainting Goat pizzas
- Baking with Hart, rounding out the experience with baked goods
- Silvercreek Farms Honey, featured on our JJ’s Sweet and Spicy pizza. JJ, a good friend and neighbor, is the “brains” behind the honey
- Greenbush Farms, supplying oven shishito peppers for oven-roasting and vegetables for our Fainting Goat pizza
- Beezie’s Blooms, bringing color and life to the farm
- Beck’s Nursery, providing fresh vegetables across the menu
- Dudley’s Maple Syrup, featured on our Mother’s Day breakfast pizza and again in the fall with their maple mustard on our German pizza with kielbasa and sauerkraut
- Milaca Meats, supplying the majority of our meat
- Walker Farms, bringing maple blueberry breakfast sausage featured on our Mother’s Day breakfast pizza
- Braun’s Market, helping round out what we need
Every ingredient has a story. Every story starts with someone who cares.
What April Really Means
April is not glamorous. It is cleaning, prepping, testing, ordering, and adjusting. Early mornings. Long lists. But it matters. Because the season starts now, long before the first pizza hits the oven.
What’s Coming Up
Before we open, we have a few ways to join us early and be part of the season.
Pizza Preview | May 3 from 3 to 5 PM
For $30 per person, guests will sample eight new pizzas, give a simple thumbs up or down, and even help name them. Casual, fun, and a first taste of the season. Live music and BYOB welcome.
Saturday, May 9
Workshops are back. Goat yoga, embroidery, and old school broom making. Come spend the afternoon at the farm, ease into the season, and enjoy our wood-fired pizza.
Mother’s Day Pizza Day
One of our favorite days of the year. Slow down, gather, and celebrate. Featuring our breakfast pizza with maple blueberry sausage, along with a full lineup of seasonal favorites.
Grand Opening | May 14
And then we are off. Thursdays and Saturdays return, the ovens are running, and the farm is back in full rhythm.
Tickets are required for workshops and goat yoga. Pizza crust reservations are required for all pizza events.
We cannot wait to welcome you back.
Bring a friend who has never been here before and earn instant “stardom” status.
Alpha & Omega Farm is located in Princeton, Minnesota. The farm hosts regular pizza events featuring wood-fired pizzas made with locally sourced ingredients (pre-orders required), as well as special events throughout the season.
