Growing Together: The Power of Farm Partnerships

From the Fields of Alpha & Omega Farm

When we first opened Alpha & Omega Farm, we knew we wanted to be more than just another dining destination. We envisioned a place where community connections would flourish—not just among our guests, but between the farmers who make our farm-to-table experience possible. This month, we’re celebrating the incredible partnerships that bring fresh, local ingredients to your wood-fired pizzas and create a network of support that strengthens our entire agricultural community.  Every pizza that comes out of our wood-fired oven tells a story of collaboration. The fresh vegetables that top your favorite combinations don’t just appear on our menu—they’re grown by dedicated farming families who share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community.

The Heart of Local: Our Farming Partners

When we source our grass-fed beef and pastured pork from Walker Farms in Princeton, we’re not just buying ingredients—we’re supporting a beautiful story of family resilience and regenerative farming.

Walker Farm’s mission resonates deeply with our own: “to provide our local community with high quality regenerative products while restoring the environment.” Their journey from conventional farming through market crashes and economic changes to embracing pasture-based production systems mirrors the adaptability and determination we see throughout our farming community. Their focus on pastured poultry, sustainable pork production, and grass-fed beef aligns perfectly with our commitment to serving ingredients that are both delicious and responsibly raised. You can find their ground beef on our popular Juicy Lucinda pizza.

Just down the road in Milaca, we’ve found another incredible partnership with Jeremy and Julie, the husband-and-wife team behind Mighty Tiny Microgreens. What began as their response to personal challenges has grown into a mission-driven business that supplies us with some of the most flavorful, nutrient-packed microgreens you’ll find anywhere. These tiny greens pack an incredible punch of flavor and nutrition, adding vibrant colors and fresh tastes to one of our most popular pizzas – the Fainting Goat(side note – add sausage, you won’t regret it)! When you see those delicate greens adorning your pizza, you’re experiencing the care and dedication Jeremy and Julie put into every growing cycle.

Our partnership with Greenbush Farms, also in Milaca, provides much of the fresh produce that makes our pizzas sing. This relationship ensures that when we say “farm-to-table,” we mean it literally—often, the jalapenos, asparagus, onions, rhubarb, and herbs on your pizza were growing in Greenbush Farm’s fields just days before reaching your plate. The connection between soil and supper becomes beautifully clear when you can trace your meal back to specific fields and the hands that tended them. These relationships go far beyond simple business transactions, creating ripple effects that strengthen our entire community. When we choose to work with local farmers like Walker Farms, Mighty Tiny Microgreens, and Greenbush Farms, we invest in our community’s economic health, environmental sustainability, and food security. Local partnerships mean fresher ingredients that travel miles, not hundreds of miles, to reach your plate, while providing economic support for farming families in our region and environmental benefits from reduced transportation and packaging. What moves us most about these partnerships is how they transform simple supplier relationships into something much more meaningful. These farmers often become friends, sharing stories around our own tables, offering advice about seasonal ingredients, and collaborating on new ways to showcase their products. It’s this personal connection that creates quality assurance through direct relationships with the people who grow our food, while building community resilience that keeps farming traditions alive for future generations.

Building Community, One Pizza at a Time

The next time you visit Alpha & Omega Farm, take a moment to savor not just the flavors on your pizza, but the story behind each ingredient. Every bite represents hours of careful farming, sustainable practices, and the dedication of families who've chosen to make their living from the land. These partnerships remind us that the best food doesn’t come from the biggest operations—it comes from people who care deeply about what they’re growing, how they’re growing it, and the community they’re feeding. When local farmers work together, supporting each other’s missions and sharing resources, everyone benefits: the land, the farmers, and ultimately, you. We’re also exploring new partnerships with other local producers, always looking for opportunities to expand our network of community relationships while maintaining the quality and values that make Alpha & Omega Farm special.

Come taste the difference that true farm partnerships make, one wood-fired pizza at a time. Because when we grow together, we all grow stronger.
